Work, family, and holiday shopping can make this a jam-packed time of year, so it's understandable if my earlier message about becoming an EMILY's List member got lost in the shuffle. But it's way too important to miss.
2012 will be fiercely fought. Six EMILY's List women senators -- half our caucus! -- will be up for re-election. We can win those races, but only if we all work together, right from the get-go.
You proved that EMILY's List knows how to elect women senators and hold our Senate majority in November. 2012 is our next big test.
Karl Rove's Crossroads GPS is already getting started -- just this week, the secretive corporate group launched attack ads in districts where House Democrats won with the smallest margins, including our own Gabrielle Giffords. And the radical fringe is already ramming their anti-choice, anti-woman agenda through Congress. Remember, one of John Boehner's first meetings after election day was with anti-choice zealot Randall Terry -- a terrifying far right leader who actively encourages armed violence against doctors and law-abiding citizens exercising the right to choose.

Dear Stephanie, With the midterms behind us, there's only one thing to do: get back on the horse, and start fighting right now so that 2012 is a totally different story. You know what's at stake: the GOP can't wait to erode our progress on health care -- so essential for women and families -- and they've already started making their target lists for the next election. Republicans are itching to attack some of our best advocates, including Senators Amy Klobuchar, Claire McCaskill, Debbie Stabenow, and Maria Cantwell.
