COMMUNITIES FOR CHANGE CELEBRATES FIRST YEAR

ny_communities_change_logo_nyreblog_com_.jpgDear Lucas

Wow, is it December already? 2010 really flew by and here at NYCC we're getting ready to celebrate our one year anniversary. Looking back over the past year we're proud of our accomplishments and we hope you are too!

Together we've blocked Wal-Mart from wreaking havoc on our local economy, fought for strong Financial Reform laws, stood up to the big banks and their mistreatment of families facing foreclosure, challenged the DOE's passive response to the news of toxic PCBs in our schools and demanded that 2,600 very low income families received the housing subsidies they were promised.

Whew, that's a lot to take on in our first year and we couldn't have done it with out you!  As we get close to Thanksgiving, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on all that we've accomplished and thank everyone who has rallied with us, signed our petitions, shared our tweets and took action on the most important issues facing working families in New York. We are only as strong as our members and you've stood by us from the start!

We hope you're as proud of what we've accomplished together as we are! Will you show your pride and share this virtual button with your friends on Facebook and Twitter ? Or email your friends and share our accomplishments in 2010?

We're off to a great start and next year looks even brighter!

Have a wonderful holiday season.

Best,
