BP MARKOWITZ WELCOMES BACK NASA ASTRONAUT GARRETT REISMAN, ACCEPTS BROOKLYN PIN FLOWN INTO SPACE ON ATLANTIS

Pin flew 4.8 million miles during 11-day mission

Astronaut 1.jpgOn Tuesday, December 14, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz welcomed NASA Astronaut Garrett Reisman and members of his family at Brooklyn Borough Hall, where Reisman presented BP Markowitz with a Brooklyn pin he carried aboard the Space Shuttle Atlantis in May, as well as photographs of Brooklyn taken from space. Reisman, a New Jersey native who has family living in Brooklyn, previously visited Borough Hall in 2008, during which he was presented the pin by BP Markowitz.
