Visit Governors Island!
Governors Island is open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday through October 10. Enjoy more than five miles of car-free biking , relax in a hammock, play a free round of artist-designed miniature golf, see art exhibits, listen to concerts and much more. There are special events planned for every open day.
Ferries run from Lower Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridge Park's Pier 6 every weekend. The ferry ride, admission to the Island and most activities are free.
