Dear Lucas,
Pop Quiz! What do Tim Walberg and House Republican Leader John Boehner have in common?
Answer: They both want to cut Social Security retirement benefits for Michigan seniors!
Walberg recently told a Tea Party group he would "definitely support the privatization of the so-called Social Security system," and Boehner recently told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, "he'd favor increasing the Social Security retirement age to 70."
Elections have consequences, and if enough extreme candidates like Tim Walberg win this November, John Boehner could become the next Speaker of the House.
That's what's at stake this year. If Walberg wins and helps put John Boehner two heartbeats away from the presidency, you can bet they'll put cuts to our Social Security benefits at the top of their extreme agenda for America.
I'm ready to stand up and fight to protect our retirement benefits, but I can't do it without your continued support.
Thank you,

P.S. We urgently need your help. The pro-outsourcing group Americans for Prosperity just spent more than $100,000 for another full week of advertising to distort my record and prop up Tim Walberg. By next week, this group will have spent nearly $500,000 on TV ads attacking me. Please help us fight back by making your contribution of $25, $50, or $100 right now.
