I want to tell you about a couple of exciting new developments on the Kathleen Rice campaign, and tell you how you can help the campaign in a very special way, by hosting one of our House Parties for Kathleen on Sept. 1st (more on that below).
Last week, Kathleen started running her second television ad of the campaign, on network stations across upstate New York. We first unveiled the ad, called "Life," exclusively on Kathleen's Facebook page this morning. Click the screenshot below to watch the ad.
Kathleen was endorsed by the New York State political action committee of NOW -- the National Organization for Women -- which has worked for decades to bring equality to government, the workplace and our communities. The enthusiastic members of NOW are already hard at work to help make Kathleen the first-ever woman attorney general in New York history.
On Sept. 1st at 7 p.m., our goal is to have house parties for Kathleen in communities all across New York -- from the eastern tip of Long Island to the five boroughs of New York City to the shores of the Great Lakes.
What happens at a house party? You invite friends and family to your home and serve light refreshments; we provide you with literature, stickers, signs and other campaign materials, as well as a live webcast or conference call from Kathleen herself addressing you and your guests. It's easy -- a house party can be just 5 people, or 10, or 50 -- it's what you make it.
These house parties are an opportunity for you to introduce Kathleen to people you know, sign some of them up to volunteer or donate, and help us win this campaign together.
