Dear Friend,
Over the last two weeks, our office has challenged household names like Google and Target to reform their political spending polices. Now, we're challenging you to call on at least one corporation that has not pledged to refrain from using its corporate treasury to influence our elections.
Today our office launched an online Corporate Spending Tracker , where you can find out how the largest companies in the country have responded to Citizens United - the landmark Supreme Court ruling that allows corporations to spend unlimited amounts of money to influence elections. The Corporate Spending Tracker provides information on where highly influential corporations - many of which we patronize each and every day - stand on political spending.
Most importantly, contact information is available for companies that have either not reformed their spending policies or are already prepared to take advantage of Citizens United to distort our democratic process.
With this November's election less than 80 days away, we challenge you to call or email at least one company that has not yet pledged to keep corporate money out of politics. Let them know that we won't let big money hijack our elections.
Thank you,
Matt Wing
