Background
New York City Congressional Candidate is seeking a seasoned Field Director for the upcoming 2010 election cycle.
Job Description
The Field director will implement electoral grassroots campaign and will be responsible for:
· Managing, training and motivating field staff of 5-8 people to achieve daily and weekly goals.
· Training field staff to recruit and train precinct captains and volunteers.
· Recruiting, training, mobilizing and managing volunteers.
· Building ethnic coalitions and networks in the district.
· Implementing grassroots tactics to identify voters.
· GOTV Election Day operations.

Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who have the desire, skills and toughness to work on an exciting and demanding campaign. Candidates must be goal-oriented with leadership skills, organizing experience, and a strong commitment to the campaign. Candidates need to be strategic planners, team players, able to recruit, train and motivate a wide range of people, and be able to tell a compelling story. Position is through the 2010 election cycle.
Salary & Benefits
Salary for this position is commensurate with relevant professional experience. Health and retirement benefits are not available with this position.
