Want to Take a Trip to Albany With Me?
Rent stabilization, Major Capital Improvements, the Rent Guidelines Board, J-51 tax breaks -- all of these tenant issues hang in the balance in Albany. I want to work with our state legislators to ensure that the rules are fair for all involved, and that we protect our limited stock of affordable housing -- which is why I will be leading a bus of residents to the capital for Tenant Lobby Day, on Tuesday April 27. We will not only meet with our local representatives, who have been very supportive of the tenant agenda, but also reach out to other lawmakers so that they appreciate the effects of these policies on the entire city. The bus leaves from Stuyvesant Town, and I will hold a "Rolling Town Hall" meeting on board to answer any questions that tenants might have. All are welcome aboard. To join me, call my office at (212) 818-0580.
Sincerely,
