Monday night, President Obama came to Los Angeles to support Barbara Boxer's reelection campaign. It was a tremendous event -- and we can't thank the President enough for his visit.
While here, President Obama called Barbara "a woman who has a deep passion for fighting for you, for fighting for all her constituents here in California." But, as the President went on to say, "what we should be worried about is how we are going to make sure Barbara Boxer gets elected."

In a lighter moment Monday evening, President Obama said,
"You know, California has been a leader in promoting hybrids and cleaner burning fuels, and appropriately, you have in Barbara Boxer a subcompact senator with a seemingly inexhaustible supply of energy."
Later, as the President wrapped up his remarks, he said,
"I have never been more optimistic about America's future. And I am optimistic because I know there are people like you out there, and I know there are people like Barbara Boxer in the Senate who's fighting to change this country for the better."
But the President, you, and I all know that we can't take Barbara Boxer for granted. So let's make sure that Barbara can keep up that fight in the U.S. Senate for six more years.
