8 Days Till Runoff -- Support Our Independent CampaignDear Lucas,
Less than a week since Primary Day, our campaign is flying out of the the gates as we race toward the September 29th runoff.
On Friday, our campaign was awarded nearly $450,000 in public funds -- 40% more than our opponent -- based on the number of low-dollar contributions from regular New Yorkers received during the primary campaign.
This is a great start. But to get out message out, we need every dollar we can get.
As you know we're in this race as an independent. We're not beholden to the special interests. That's what New Yorkers want in a comptroller who is keeping an eye on our money.
But if we're not going to use the special interests to drive votes, we need support from supporters just like you.
I wouldn't ask you for more help if I didn't know deep in my heart that the next Comptroller will play a such a vital role in getting our city back on track.
