Got this at 10:37 AM, this morning:
Lucas,
Wall Street banksters wrecked the economy with abusive loans and wild speculation - putting millions of Americans out of their jobs and homes. Now the same crowd is trying to block Congress from cracking down on its destructive practices. They've got an army of lobbyists swarming the capital daily, trying to block real reform - like a strong Consume Financial Protection Agency.
Stand up to the banksters!
Rally with Michael Moore and Public Citizen tomorrow to call on President Obama and Congress to enact real financial reform that protects consumers!
When: 10:30 a.m. tomorrow, Tuesday, Sept. 29
Where: Washington, D.C., at the Taft Memorial on the U.S. Capitol grounds (outside), at 1st and Constitution Ave. N.W. (Union Station is the nearest Metro stop.)
What: A rally with Michael Moore, Public Citizen, our Americans for Financial Reform coalition partners and concerned consumers!
A strong Consumer Financial Protection Agency is necessary to make sure that the banks and financial industry work for the public instead of preying on it. Let Congress know that Main Street isn't going to just sit back while Wall Street tries to stop real reform!
At the rally tomorrow, Michael will offer his take on the financial reform effort's twists and turns through Congress and show a clip from his new film about the Wall Street bailouts, "Capitalism: A Love Story." Let us know if we will see you there! Can't be there? You can still send a strong message to Congress!
Thank you for all you do!

Got this some 6 hours later (around 5:02 PM):
Dear Lucas,
Our apologies for any inconvenience, but the financial reform rally tomorrow at the U.S. Capitol with Michael Moore has been canceled, due to circumstances beyond our control.
Though the rally isn't happening as planned, Michael Moore will join Public Citizen in a press conference tomorrow to speak out for health care for all. Of course, health care reform is one of the most critically important issues we face today. But as we all know, we can't get real reform like single-payer health care without more corporate accountability.
Check our Web site ( www.citizen.org ) late tomorrow for updates on the Michael Moore health care press conference. You can still take action to support strong financial reform and to fight unlimited corporate influence in our elections.
Again, we are truly sorry about the change of plans. We thank you for your interest and hope you'll join us at our next event in D.C. - the Whistleblower Filmfest, which begins this Thursday.
Public Citizen will host the film and a discussion with whistleblower champions in Congress on October 8. You may find the schedule for the Whistleblower Filmfest here .
Thank you for all you do,
Rick, Angela and Glenn
