On Wednesday, September 23, 2009, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz, the Turkish Cultural Center New York and members of the Turkish American community held a press conference at Borough Hall to preview the nation's largest Turkish festival, "Turkish Days in New York," which kicks off for the first time in Prospect Park on Sunday, September 27, and continues at various locations in the city through Sunday, October 4.
