(We received this e-mail last night.)
Dear Friend,
The momentum to elect John Liu as the next City Comptroller hasn't skipped a beat as we head into the September 29th Runoff. John is seizing every opportunity to talk to voters throughout the boroughs about the issues, his financial expertise and vision for the Office of Comptroller.
Today, Congresswoman Yvette Clarke (of the 11th Congressional District in Brooklyn) and former City Councilwoman Una Clarke threw their weight behind John.
In the past few days, our energy has been fueled by the backing of the Bronx Democratic County Committee as well as the Democratic Committee of Richmond County (Staten Island).
Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver of Manhattan -- one of the most influential and respected leaders in New York State government and the national Democratic party -- has also endorsed John!
Tune in TONIGHT at 11:00PM on 98.7 KISS-FM Radio's "Week In Review" to hear from John about what's at stake in this important election. Also, please see below recent news excerpts that chronicle the momentum.
Sincerely,
Tchiyuka Cornelius
People for John Liu

Mr. Liu, who ran with the backing of several major labor unions, would become the first Asian American elected citywide if he prevails in a runoff on Sept. 29.
At a rally on Tuesday night, Mr. Liu said, "This campaign has been about making history, but it has also been about putting New York City back on track."
