As you know, the runoff election is only 4 days away -- Tuesday, September 29. Our campaign has the clear momentum, and with your help we can and WILL win this race.
Last night in the NY1 debate, David laid out the stark differences between the two candidates on record of accomplishment, progressive vision for the office, and honesty and integrity. And today we were endorsed by both the New York Daily News and the New York Post .
But while we have known David and stood behind his message, voters don't have to take our word for it. Every major newspaper in this city -- the Times, News, and the Post -- has now endorsed David's candidacy. The Post said David is the one candidate "willing to face the facts" about the economic challenges we face and a "life-long liberal with good fiscal sense."
And the stakes could not be higher. Hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers have lost their jobs in this recession, and we desperately need a Comptroller who will speak the truth and work for us, not the special interests.
To help ensure the turnout we need, I'm writing you today to ask your help in forwarding an electronic Neighbor-to-Neighbor letter to your friends and contacts. Direct contact between neighbors carries much more weight than a television or radio ad.
