On Wednesday, September 23, 2009, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz and Mujeres Poblamas de Brooklyn will host an evening of food, dance and music at Brooklyn Borough Hall to observe Mexican Independence--known as "El Grito de Mexico." Honorees at the event include Pedro Zamora, president, Zamora Entertainment, Inc.; Horacio "El Pelon" Ontiveros, radio personality; Josana Tonda, national coordinator, Ventanillas de Salud Program; and Bianca Marroquin, musical theater actress.
