Assemblyman Bing will be hosting his annual Senior Health Fair on October 15. The Fair will take place in the Community Room of Knickerbocker Plaza at 1751 Second Avenue (between 91st and 92nd Streets) from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. We will once again be providing free flu shots, health screenings, informational tables, and refreshments.

The Fair will include seasonal flu shots (not H1N1 "swine flu" vaccines); screenings for blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose, glaucoma and osteoporosis; and information from local hospitals and health agencies. Some of the organizations expected to attend include: Lenox Hill Hospital, Hospital for Special Surgery, NY Presbyterian Hospital, Mount Sinai Medical Center, NYC Department for the Aging (DFTA), NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD), New York Foundation for Senior Citizens, and Lenox Hill Neighborhood House.

Flu shots are extremely limited and subject to the supply that we are able to secure. If you would like to receive a flu shot, you must call in advance to (212) 605-0937 to schedule an appointment.
