BP MARKOWITZ TO MARCH IN 28TH ANNUAL BROOKLYN COLUMBUS DAY PARADE

On Saturday, October 10, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz will join the Federation of Italian American Organizations of Brooklyn and other participants to march in the 28th annual Brooklyn Columbus Day Parade, stepping off at 61st Street and 18th Avenue and continuing to 84th Street. BP Markowitz's chief of staff, Carlo Scissura, will serve as master of ceremonies at the reviewing stand. The 2009 parade grand marshals are Anthony W. Crowell, counselor to the mayor and chairman of the board of the Brooklyn Public Library, and the Hon. Luigi R. Marano, former New York State assistant attorney general, former New York State assemblyman and judge of the New York State Family Court.
