Salute to Veterans on the Intrepid's Flight Deck: November 12
In honor of Veterans' Day, on Thursday, November 12, at 11:00 a.m., Assemblyman Bing will team with the Intrepid Air and Space Museum to honor veterans from the East Side and around the nation. The program will involve a short ceremony on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier beginning at 11:00 with comments by the Assemblyman and special guests. Following the ceremony, guests will be allowed to tour the museum and enjoy light refreshments. Further details are forthcoming.
The Intrepid is located at Pier 86, at 12th Avenue and 46th Street in Manhattan. All are welcome to attend without regard to veteran status. Guests will need to purchase tickets to the Intrepid to attend the event, but reduced-price admission will be available for veterans and retired United States Military. Limited seating is available.
