The Office of Counsel for Children and Parents for the Appellate Division, First Department is seeking attorneys to serve on the Panel of Attorneys who represent adults and children in Family Court proceedings.
Pre-Certification Training: A three-day CLE-accredited course to introduce attorneys to practice before the Family Courts will be held October 21-23, 2009.
Location:
Cost: $75 (this discounted fee covers the cost of materials)
CLE: CLE credits are available to qualified attendees.
Mentoring: Attorneys who participate in this training program will also be mentored by experienced Family Court practitioners.
Certification: Through this training program and the associated mentoring, qualified attorneys can attain sufficient experience and expertise to make an application to the Family Court Advisory Committee for the First Department for certification to practice in this area and to be assigned to represent adults and children involved in family-related litigation and proceedings before the Family Court and New York Supreme Courts.
NOTE: To qualify for this training program, you must be an
attorney in good standing and have been admitted to practice
before the New York State Courts for more than two years.
