I write today to ask for your support for my friend Jimmy Van Bramer.
Jimmy recently won the Democratic nomination for City Council for District 26, covering Sunnyside, Woodside, Long Island City and parts of Astoria and Jackson Heights. I have known Jimmy for 15 years. He is truly inspirational, a good friend, a committed activist.
Jimmy still has a Republican opponent in November and he needs help to raise the money to get his message out to the voters. Please join me and a wonderful host committee next Sunday, October 18, 2009, from 6-8 p.m.
in an amazing apartment with roof access in Woodside - the views are amazing, especially with the bridges light up at night. Come meet Jimmy, help us raise the money (give whatever you can - anything you give over $10 is matchable 6-1 in NYC's campaign finance program, so your $20 becomes $140 and your $50 becomes $250).
