THE PROGNOSIS WASN'T VERY APPEALING

j0405208.jpgIn Murray v. Hirsch , Dr. Stephen Hirsch believed David Murray suffered from hematospermia . After examining Murray's prostate and finding it to be normal, the doctor advised his patient the condition would clear up, but Murray later developed prostate cancer.

Claiming his doctor should have ordered a prostate sonogram and biopsy, Murray sued his physician alleging medical malpractice.

When the Nassau County Supreme Court denied the doctor's request to dismiss the case, he appealed to the Appellate Division, Second Department, which found any purported omission wasn't the cause of Murray's injuries.

We refuse to probe any further.
