Stop the Sanitation mega-facility on
the Lower West Side!
Dear Friends,
Join me for a FREE picnic, in opposing the construction of a Half-Billion Dollar Sanitation Garage in Hudson Square. I'll be speaking in support of Hudson Rise, the Community Alternative Garage with a 2.5 acre park. There will be plenty of free food, drinks, music and other performances.

I have been actively working on this issue with members of the Tribeca Community Association & Canal West Coalition who strongly oppose this project. We are concerned with the negative effects of this garage, the 5,000 ton open salt shed and the underground storage of 34,000 gallons of fuel: increased traffic congestion, noise and air pollution and contaminated water.
OUR CHILDREN HAVE THE RIGHT TO BREATHE FRESH AIR AND LIVE IN A SAFE COMMUNITY.
