Dear Lucas,
Bob is now officially a Democratic candidate for City Council in the 39th District after receiving more than triple the number of necessary signatures required to get on the ballot. Thank you so much to all of you who assisted in our petition-gathering effort!
In addition, we just received our latest endorsement from the Out People of Color Political Action Club (OutPOCPAC) today. We are honored to have the endorsement of this political club.
We also have two excellent events coming next week. First, on Saturday, Aug. 1, please join Michael Fagan, Michael Colosi, David Ratcliffe, Matt Merrick and Chris Swanson, and Dan Delany from 4 to 6 pm for "From Coney Island to Fire Island:" a house and pool party at 281 Shady in the Fire Island Pines. Brooklyn treats ranging from Nathan's hot dogs, Junior's cheesecake, and Brooklyn Lager will be served. Hope you can join us for this fun event! To see or print the invitation, please click here .
Second, there will be a Small Business Roundtable with Bob on Thursday, July 30 from 8:30 am to 10 am at Buttermilk Channel (524 Court Street). Please join Bob and Brooklyn business leaders for a discussion of current issues facing small business owners and hear Bob's ideas for revitalizing small businesses, creating jobs, and building a better Brooklyn. Coffee and pastries will be served. To see or print the invitation, please click here .
Finally, even though petitioning is over, we're still on the streets, meeting voters at subway stations and supermarkets, and knocking on doors throughout the district. Can you join us after work or on the weekend to help us canvass? We need your help! Please contact Jake Oliver, Volunteer Coordinator, at jake@zuckerman2009.com or 917-653-9619 to get involved.
Thanks so much for your support!
