Bing to Host Children's Activity Day at MacArthur Park

On Tuesday, August 11, 2009, Assemblyman Bing will host an "Activity Day" for children at MacArthur Park, located on the East River between 48th and 49th Streets.  Earlier this year, Bing provided funding for playground associates at both MacArthur Park and 24 Sycamores Park, located on York Avenue and 60th Street. The associates will be at the parks on Tuesdays through Saturdays through the end of August, and are responsible for planning and coordinating activities for children at the parks.

The Activity Day will include programming organized by MacArthur's summer playground associate, a visit from the Parks Department's "Playmobile," and a short ceremony recognizing the Assemblyman's commitment to New York City's parksThe day's activities will run from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with the recognition ceremony taking place at 11:30 a.m.
