DISCUSS LGBT HEALTH ISSUES OVER COCKTAILS

hdr_gvccc_home.gifPANEL DISCUSSION: LGBT HEALTH NEEDS IN THE WORKPLACE

Our Chamber Champion AETNA, in partnership with the Chamber, has generously underwritten a panel discussion by healthcare professionals and providers exploring the healthcare needs of LGBT employees in the workplace.

LGBT employees have unique needs that are not always addressed in the workplace.  We live in a complex, ever-changing environment of rules and laws, and this is your opportunity to ask the questions and address issues that might directly affect your business, your health, and/or the health of your employees.

The program will be moderated by Andres Hoyos, MS, LMSW, Program Coordinator at Center CARE, LGBT Community Center.  Participating on the panel will be Marjorie Schulman, M.D., Senior Medical Director, Aetna;   Bisher Akil, MD, Medical Director, NYMD;   Ady Ben-Israel, Program Coordinator at Center CARE, LGBT Community Center;  Pablo McCabe , Member, Employee Assistance Program Association NYC Chapter; and  Felix Lopez , Director Legal Department, Gay Men's Health Crisis.

The event will be held at the LGBT Community Center, 208 West 13th Street.
