THINK YOU KNOW HOW TO SPELL?

Prove it!

On Thursday, January 29, 2009, at 7:30 PM, Brooklyn Law School is sponsoring a spelling bee.

Here are the details:

BLS_logo_nyreblog_com_.jpgThe Student Bar Association would like to formally invite you to the 3rd Annual Sara Robbins Memorial Spelling Bee. Professor Robbins was the Director of the Brooklyn Law School Library for over two decades. Last year's event was a tremendous success. Over 40 students, faculty and alumni competed in the Bee, and over $3,000 was raised through ticket sales, raffles and a silent auction. The money that we raised was put toward a student scholarship, which was established in Sara's name.

We are hoping that this year's Spelling Bee will prove to be even more successful. This year's Bee will take place Thursday, January 29th at 7:30 pm on the 10th floor of the Subotnick Center at BLS, and will be moderated by Professors Cahill and Tebbe. Our goal is to have approximately 50 participants, made up of students, faculty and alumni. If you would like to participate, please send an email to lois.lalonde@brooklaw.edu indicating your interest.

In addition to participants, we are seeking donations towards the scholarship, as well as items to be raffled off during the evening. Any support you might lend would be extremely helpful.

This is a wonderful cause, and we truly hope that many of you will participate in some way.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

Thank you,

The Student Bar Association
