If you're wild about wildlife, there's an event on Wednesday, January 21, 2009, you can't miss.
Held in partnership with the Australian Wildlife Conservancy (AWC), the dinner will raise funds for
Pungalina - a property spanning half a million acres of the Northern Territory's spectacular outback.
AWC is working with the US based Wildlife Australia Fund Inc (WAFI) to save Pungalina. Every dollar contributed to WAFI will be matched by anonymous donors in Australia, essentially doubling the fundraising efforts for this magnificent property in the NT's Gulf of Carpentaria.
Professor Tim Flannery, internationally acclaimed environmentalist, will present on the night.
Guests will experience an evening of creativity and theatrical flair, along with their support for Australia's globally significant biodiversity. The evening will have elements of fine Australian talent, including acclaimed Indigenous artist and recent ARIA Award winner, Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu , Indigenous contemporary artist Dewayne Everettsmith , the
Australian String Quartet and the Qantas Choirs.
Australian celebrity chef Pete Evans will craft the menu with fresh produce flown in from Australia and paired with premium Australian wines from Tasmania.
