Dear Lucas,
It's hard to believe that we've already entered the winter season and that the 2010 election is already less than a year away.

Since taking office, I've been fighting every single day to get our economy back on track: passing the Recovery Act to save and create thousands of Michigan jobs, fighting for legislation to create another 54,000 clean energy jobs for Michigan workers, and passing health care reform that will lower costs for consumers, strengthen Medicare for seniors and help our businesses compete.
In fact, just yesterday we announced a Recovery Act grant that will create 90 new clean energy jobs to build wind turbine components in Eaton Rapids* - helping to diversify our economy and reduce our dependence on foreign oil. Your donation of $25, $50 or $100 will help ensure I can keep fighting for Michigan.
Of course, we still have a long way to go to turn our economy around, and Republicans are already on the attack. While ex-Congressman Tim Walberg and his Republican primary opponent Brian Rooney will spend the next eight months desperately attempting to distort my record, I'll remain focused on my number one priority - saving and creating Michigan jobs.
Our businesses and workers simply can't afford to go back to the failed Bush economic policies that created this mess in the first place. By making a donation of $25, $50, $100 or whatever you can afford, you'll be entered in the Pasty Pie Challenge, and I could be coming to your house to fix this tasty treat for dinner.
Thanks for your continued support!
Sincerely,
Mark Schauer
