Inauguration Ceremony and Celebration
| Thank you again for your support. On day one of 2010, I am looking forward to beginning my term representing the 49th City Council District of New York City. On Saturday, January 9th, at 1 pm, I will be officially sworn in at an inauguration ceremony and celebration at the St. George Theatre, 35 Hyatt St., up the hill from Staten Island Borough Hall. I am excited to announce that Governor David Patterson has accepted our invitation to officiate at the swearing-in, and we will be honored by the presence of many community leaders, elected officials, and by talented performers (young and old) from across the North Shore district. Let's make this a happy, celebratory afternoon that highlights the people, the talent, and the potential of every neighborhood on the North Shore and on Staten Island. In order to accomplish this, I need your help right now! Campaign Finance Board rules don't allow us to use any of our campaign funds to pay for the inauguration -- in other words, we need to raise every penny that will go toward the swearing-in ceremony and festivities from scratch, starting now. That's why I am hoping you can help us out with a contribution of $175, $100 or $50 -- or whatever you can afford.
