Here's the text of an e-mail we received from the Zuckerman campaign:
Dear Lucas,
I want to share some great news with you. This week, I officially received the endorsement from the Gay and Lesbian Victory Fund! As the Victory Fund noted in its endorsement, "Bob Zuckerman is ready to win."
I am one of only three candidates running in New York City, including City Council Speaker Christine Quinn, whom the Victory Fund has endorsed so far in the 2009 election cycle.
The Victory Fund is a national organization that has helped hundreds of openly LGBT candidates win election to local, state and federal offices since 1991. The Victory Fund supports candidates who have "solid campaign plans and the capacity to win." It is an honor to have their endorsement. In New York City, candidates who have received this prestigious endorsement include Speaker Quinn, State Senator Tom Duane and Assembly Members Deborah Glick and Daniel O'Donnell. You can read what the Victory Fund says about me and my campaign here: http://www.victoryfund.org/endorsed_candidates/profile/candidate:243
Our campaign continues to gain momentum throughout the neighborhoods of the 39th District. Please help me become the first openly LGBT legislator ever elected from Brooklyn!
