With election season around the corner, I wanted to invite you to a fun event on April 21 in Union Square to benefit my campaign for City Council.
I am still in this race. Even though City Council members voted to grant themselves a chance to run again, I disagreed with the process and the clear snub at the public. Our city needs independent, fresh voices who are willing to take a risk for their beliefs.
If there's one thing that last year's presidential race taught us was that even small donations count. This is particularly true here in New York City. Every dollar you can donate - up to $175 - will be matchable by six under the City's campaign finance rules.
