President Obama is poised to launch The American Recovery and
Reinvestment Plan, the most ambitious economic recovery program
since the Great Depression. The cornerstone of the Plan is the
preservation and creation of jobs, particularly in the areas of
infrastructure, building retrofitting and renewable energy, through
the massive mobilization of the construction and manufacturing
industries. TOPICS COVERED In anticipation of the enactment of the Plan, the Greater New York
Construction User Council and the Building Trade Employers' Association
has organized "Constructing the Economic Recovery," a conference and
trade show presenting details of the Plan (as enacted) and the program
for its implementation at the Federal, State and City levels. WHO SHOULD ATTEND This conference will provide critical information for contractors, private,
public and institutional real estate owners, lenders, facility managers,
corporate and institutional tenants, architects, engineers, project
managers, and all related construction industry professionals.
