We received a letter from Nicholas Carter , a candidate for U.S. Senate from Wyoming, inviting us to a fundraiser on Wednesday, September 17, 2008, at 6:00 PM, at the home of Virginia Davies.
A part of his missive gave us some pause, particularly in light all that hoopla over "campaign finance reform." He wrote:
If you have already reached your limit for federal political giving, I'm still very interested in talking with you about my race. There are many other ways to help my campaign, including hosting an event or being a surrogate fundraiser by raising money through friends and associates.
