                 High Noon in Lower Manhattan

Since September 11, 2001, residents of Lower Manhattan have stood by helplessly as other people decided our fate. Years have passed and we still have a Hole in the Ground!

Adding insult to injury, there is no Memorial, no new Path Station, no health aid for 9/11 survivors! Meanwhile, the fat cat developers, financial companies and various government agencies took advantage of numerous disaster benefits. Shockingly enough, even the most recent federal bail-out contained no provisions for 9/11 health care.

HELP PETE HELP DOWNTOWN!   Pete Gleason, who has served Lower Manhattan in a number of capacities since 1981, kicks off his City Council Campaign with a brunch of supporters.

Come and join Maria Cooper Janis, daughter of screen legend Gary Cooper, who as a show of support for Pete's dedication to public service, will bring along Coop's Academy Award for best Actor in the iconic Western, "HIGH NOON."

No film better personifies what we need in those who aspire to public service.
The suggested contribution for this event is $175. Make checks payable to PETE 2009. This is a political contribution and is not tax deductible.
