We hear Barack Obama will be in town on March 27, 2008, and if you've got a thousand bucks to spare, you can meet the Senator at an event billed as a "luncheon and campaign briefing."
The event is scheduled to start at 11:30 am and will take place at One Madison Avenue, here in Manhattan.
We're told the luncheon will be capped at 300 people, and that attendees will have an opportunity to "chat, ask questions and get [their] pictures taken with the next President of the United States!"
If the luncheon isn't convenient, Barack will also be appearing at a cocktail reception (on Park Avenue and 75th) starting at 5:30. (The event is capped 150 people, and a $2300 contribution is requested.)
If that won't work, he'll be appearing at a reception on Park Avenue and 71st Street at about 7:30 PM. (Also capped at 150 people, $2300 contribution requested.)
And, finally, if you're a night owl, you can join the Senator at an "LGBT Reception with Barack," scheduled for about 8:30 PM, that same evening, at Fifth Avenue and 20th Street. (Once again, capacity is capped at about 150 people, $2300 contribution requested.)

For those of you doing the math, should these events "sell out," the campaign will amass about $1,335,000 for a day's work. Not bad, huh?
