After Hillary Clinton's embarrassing third-place finish in Iowa, it looks like her campaign team is in panic mode.
I just received an e-mail from a local political leader.
The individual advises that the Clinton camp is busing local Dems up to New Hampshire, to help muster support for the candidate.
Why would they need to do that? Aren't there enough New Hampshirites interested in lending Hill a hand?
Things are apparently so bad, that they're enticing volunteers with paid transportation, room and board, and other necessaries.
Here's the interesting part of the e-mail I received:
If you would like to travel, a New Hampshire GOTV bus trip will be leaving Manhattan Fri. Jan.4th & returning Sun. Jan.6th or (for those who can stay thru the Primary) Wed. Jan.9th. Travel, food, accommodations (likely in a supporter's home or at the local Y) and other necessities, as well as as canvassing training, will be provided by the campaign.
To sign-up ... contact Dan Benjoya ( dbenjoya@hillaryclinton.com ) or Mary DeBree ( mdebree@hillaryclinton.com ) at 212-213-3717.
Interesting, no?

UPDATE
A reader sent us the text of another e-mail from Hillary's people that made the rounds. According to that document, 500 New Yorkers were shipped up to New Hampshire.
Hello Hillary Supporters!
We're thrilled that you are interesting in joining us on buses into New Hampshire this weekend - thank you for your time, effort, and enthusiasm! We have the opportunity, and as New Yorkers, the responsibility, to storm into New Hampshire – over 500 strong - and make absolutely sure that every Hillary supporter that we've identified gets a personal reminder to get out and vote in Tuesday's primary. To ensure that our Get Out the Vote effort is the best in the state, we've reserved buses to take back anyone who is able and willing to stay through the primary on Tuesday.
So we're asking everyone now to consider staying through those final days and take a bus back Wednesday – they'll be leaving in the morning and will return to each region by Wednesday afternoon. It can not be stressed enough how essential it is for as many of you as possible to stay with us through the primary, so please do what you can – take off work, find sitters, etc – to join us through victory. We're thrilled that many of you have already made the decision to stay. If you can not, you can still take a bus back Sunday night – estimated arrival times are noted below. Everyone knows how important New Hampshire is, and you all are the ones who will determine the results of the nation's first primary and send Senator Clinton into the February 5th contests with the momentum to WIN!
1. Pickup Locations and Times for the Friday January 4th bus pickups into New Hampshire are as follows:

We'll have packets for each of you when you get on the bus with information to help you talk to voters. We'll also start off the weekend on Saturday with a brief, basic, and effective voter contact training. The focus will be on canvassing neighborhoods, but there is also a need for people to be making phone calls from the office and doing visibility outdoors, if you prefer those activities.
4. Lastly – We need each of you to ask your friends, family, and neighbors to join us!
Please forward this email to your networks and have people fill out and return the attached volunteer form to us as soon as possible so that we can reserve their seat on the bus. Thank you all again for joining together to make history!
