Studio 889 began with just one community printmaking workshop through a grant from The Bronx Museum, ACTION LAB - Bronx Museum @ The Point in 2004. Studio 889 provides arts in education, community and professional printmaking workshops.
Studio 889 was founded and led by well-respected printmaker and BRIO Award-winning artist Alejandra Delfin. As part of its mission, Studio introduces printmaking to everyone in the community, encourages individuals of all ages and levels of experience to explore, get involved, and support the arts.
This year, Studio 889 is having a reception at its Hunts Point Avenue location up in the Bronx, on Saturday, December 6, 2008, at 2:30 PM.
