After all that hoopla over the Bronx Democratic County Committee's decision to sponsor a "women-only" luncheon honoring Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, spies -- who forked over the cash to see the former first lady and presidential candidate -- advise that she was a "no show" for this afternoon's event.
We're told no explanation was given to the attendees for the Senator's nonappearance.*
Clinton had an out and could have declined to participate due to the discriminatory nature of the event. (Men were repeatedly and openly discouraged from attending.) Rather than do the honorable thing, and stand for principle, the Senator simply failed to show.
Great move, Hill! (Is this what we have to look forward to?)

*One reader speculated that Hillary got mired in traffic on the Cross-Bronx Expressway. We think it's more likely that Hillary was spooked by her awful performance at last Tuesday's democratic presidential debate held down in Philadelphia and needs time to regroup.
