MEN GET SEVEN YEARS FOR ILLEGALLY SELLING SOME 600,000 OPIOID PILLS
A.M. (30), of Laredo, Texas, managed a “pain management clinic” that operated out of Houston.
In mid-December, he along with Dr. O.L. (74), who was the clinic’s purported owner and treating physician, are said to have operated a “pill mill,” and are alleged to have “unlawfully distributed over 600,000 opioid pills,” which yielded some $1.2 million in cash (over a 14-month period).
Convicted back in April of “unlawfully distributing and distributing controlled substances and conspiracy,” the two men were recently sentenced to some seven years in prison.
Those guys clearly needed a chill pill.
