LUBBOCK MAN ADMITTED TO THEFT OF 37 GUNS
In June of 2023, D.L. (57) from Lubbock, Texas, was charged and pleaded guilty to the “theft of firearms.”
Apparently, some three years earlier, D.L. and another defendant, forcibly entered a gun shop, and after using a sledgehammer, removed 37 firearms from the store’s glass cases and placed them in a bag. When fleeing the scene, the bag was dropped, along with the gloves and ski masks they had worn during the break-in.
When DNA evidence later revealed a match, D.L. admitted that he committed the crime, and in mid-December was sentenced to 120 months in federal prison.
I’m sure that wasn’t the result he was gunning for.
