CONNECTICUT MAN WANTED TO FIGHT FOR ISIS

AFTER PLEADING GUILTY, HE WAS SENTENCED TO 144 MONTHS IN PRISON

In late December, MIM (30), of Hamden, Connecticut, was sentenced to 144 months in federal prison (followed by a lifetime of supervised release) for seeking to “provide material support to the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS), a designated foreign terrorist organization.”

Apparently, the guy expressed to others at a Muslim community center that “we should support ISIS” and “jihad is the way to go.” He also reportedly said, “I gotta fight bro, because those people, Abu Masa and ISIL, they fought for me bro, I know it, I can feel it, in my heart. So it’s my time to fight . . . It just is what it is bro, it’s just my – it’s just my time to go bro.”

Among others thing, back in 2019, he purportedly made a video pledging allegiance to ISIS, and was arrested as he was boarding a plane en route to Syria (via Canada).

In January of 2023, he admitted his guilt and was sentenced in late December to that 144-month term.

Guess it was finally his time to go ….
