OVER A MEASLY $1200
On October 1, 2021, JHMS (45), a man from Harris County, Texas, sold four ounces of methamphetamine for $1,200.00 at a truck stop (in Beaumont). Later that same day, when officers conducted a traffic stop, they uncovered two additional ounces of meth in the guy's toolbox and a gun on the driver's side floorboard.
After he was indicted and charged with drug trafficking violations, and pleaded guilty to "possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine," he was sentenced in late October (2023) to 235 months in a federal prison.
Some 19.5 years for that?
