A new poll out yesterday shows Democrat Patrick Murphy tied 46-46 with Marco Rubio in the Florida Senate race.
Murphy has been closing the gap with Rubio for weeks, and now he's all caught up. The election is just 10 days out and we have all the momentum—now Murphy just needs the resources to win.
Democratic groups pulled out of Florida earlier in the year when Rubio looked unbeatable. Those moves helped Democratic candidates in other states, but it's left Murphy cash-strapped just as pulls have tightened.
So where can we find a bunch of money at the last minute to end Marco Rubio's political career? Look no further than New York's own Sen. Chuck Schumer, who has $20 million in his campaign account and faces an entirely uncompetitive re-election this year.
