The Espailat campaign first publicly denied any efforts at voter suppression by pro Espaillat forces and then, when a memo from their pro Espaillat PAC showed they were trying to raise money to suppress African American and progressive white voters, Senator Espaillat's spokesman accused Keith Wright of,"gin[ning] up racial tensions."
Really?
Civil rights leaders, clergy and even Congressional candidate Michael Gallagher stated that it was abhorrent for Espaillat's supporters to try to suppress votes. It is wrong to try to win a race by preventing people from voting.

Espaillat was silent when the pro Espaillat PAC announced they were forming
and trying to raise $200,000.
Espaillat says he supports migrant farm workers’ rights, yet his
top contributors have a documented history of exploiting and abusing workers.
Espaillat was silent when this shadowy PAC released a "push poll"
that was an attempt to mislead the public.
Espaillat was silent at the NY1 debate when the PAC and its questionable
tactics were raised.
Senator Espaillat claims he supports campaign finance reform. But he always
says one thing and does another. He never should have allowed this PAC
to be created if he supported campaign finance reform. He could have stopped
it. If they were never caught trying to raise money to suppress votes.
Adriano Espaillat never would have spoken up.
ANOTHER SHADOWY MYSTERY PRO ESPAILLAT GROUP FROM VIRGINIA IS SENDING OUT MAIL FOR ESPAILLAT. HE KNOWS ABOUT BUT WON'T STOP IT
At least two pieces of mail have been mailed out on Espaillat's behalf. The group is unknown. The donors are unknown and Adriano Espaillat knows about this. They have not registered with the appropriate legal authorities.
But he is silent about it and allows the mailings to happen because he says one thing but refuses to stop questionable practices until they are exposed.
