Why PACK THE PALACE?
The “Pack the Palace” campaign is a call to action to celebrate the strengths of the young people in our community and fill the 3,400 seats in the historical United Palace theater located in Washington Heights. We believe the empowering of our youth to move the crowd in a space where the legacy of artistic greats once and continue to perform is life-changing and breeds a creative confidence that is the key to engaging and inspiring our young people to succeed in school. Join us and School District 6 as we dedicate ourselves to filling this space and showing our youth how much their community supports and values them.
What is the Urban Arts Festival?
Urban Arts Festival is Urban Arts Partnership's annual culminating event that celebrates the positive impact arts education has on closing the achievement gap in public schools. The event serves as a platform to amplify young people’s voices by showcasing the talents of the students and communities UAP serves. Since 2007, Urban Arts Partnership has honored exceptional student work and performances from all of our participating schools across New York City. UAF brings together students, families, educators, city representatives, artists, and community members from diverse neighborhoods to advance creative expression and innovative education.
Our Organization
Urban Arts Partnership advances the intellectual, social and artistic development of underserved public school students through arts-integrated education programs to close the achievement gap. UAP is the largest arts education provider in New York City with a growing presence in LA, training 750 teachers in over 100 schools and reaching 15,000 students annually. Innovative programs, include coding, dance, filmmaking, literacy, music, poetry, test prep, theater & the visual arts. Participating talent lead master classes throughout the year. Urban Arts Partnership is a 501(c)(3) organization.
