The immigration crisis at our southern border has highlighted some serious
problems in our immigration system. There is no doubt something needs
to be done -- and soon.
But it's not creating incentives and magnets for people to come here
as Senator Shaheen advocates. Furthermore, Senator Shaheen even supports
amnesty for those in our country illegally.
Let me be very clear: amnesty is wrong. Not just in this current crisis
but in any situation.
It undermines the law and is a disservice to the millions of immigrants
who follow the law and play by the rules. We are a nation of immigrants,
but we are also a nation of laws -- and those laws must be observed.
If you agree,
please contribute $10, $35, $50, $100, or even $250 to help send me to
Washington where I will fight against pro-amnesty policies.
Senator Shaheen claims the illegal immigrants descending on the southern
border are fleeing violence based on gang and drug activity and that as
"refugees" in danger of immediate threats back home, they should
be allowed to stay in the United States.
I disagree with Senator Shaheen on both the cause and the solution. If you do, too,
please visit here now to support my campaign with a contribution of $10
or $100 or $1,000 or whatever amount is right from you.
The crisis on the border is mainly the result of the pro-amnesty policies
supported by President Obama and Senator Shaheen, which have encouraged
more and more people to come here illegally.
While we need to act humanely, these new arrivals should be returned to
their home countries.
If elected, I will fight to fix the legal immigration system in a way
that encourages students, high-skilled workers, and entrepreneurs from
around the world to come and pursue the American Dream.
We want people to come here out of determination, not desperation.
We must stand strong!
Scott Brown
P.S. Speaking of desperation, the Democrats continue to circle the wagons
around Jeanne Shaheen and
your $10, $35, $50, $100, or $250 contribution will help us hold her accountable for her misguided stance on immigration.
