Donald Trump and Republicans in Congress may have failed at repealing
Obamacare, but they
did two things that will directly result in millions of Americans losing access to affordable
health care.
First, the GOP Tax Scam that Congress passed and Trump signed into law
repeals the individual mandate. This will result in 13 million fewer people
having health insurance over the next ten years as healthier people opt
out of the health insurance market, thus driving up premiums for everyone else.
Second, Trump signed an executive order allowing for separate "association
plans" that don't offer the essential health protections required
under Affordable Care Act. This effectively allows the sale of "fake
insurance" that for many people won't actually help them if they get sick.
Every person who loses their insurance, it will be Trump's fault.
Every time an insurance company refuses to cover a service, it's Trump's
fault. He said he'd fix it, and he's just messing it up.
