FASTEST-GROWING REFUGEE EMERGENCY

Lucas,

Rohingya refugees arrive in Bangladesh telling horrific stories and showing wounds from the violence they faced. Those fortunate to survive the harrowing journey are exhausted, hungry and sick. They urgently need protection and humanitarian assistance.

They walk for days through jungles and mountains, or brave dangerous sea voyages across the Bay of Bengal. In a desperate attempt to keep their children safe, thousands of parents have fled with their families. In some cases, children have made the perilous journey alone.

The Rohingya have been described by the United Nations as "the most persecuted people in the world." Approximately 647,000 refugees have been forced from their homes in Myanmar since August 2017 when violence erupted as military operations swept through their communities.

This crisis is the fastest-growing refugee emergency in the world today. As Americans, we must help people in their time of greatest need. Please sign our petition if you stand with the UN Refugee Agency in its mission to reach everyone in need with lifesaving aid and protection.
