Lucas,
I just wanted to thank you for standing with New Yorkers and Americans
across the country in our fight to save the Affordable Care Act and all
its protections. Unfortunately, the GOP ignored the flood of calls and
pleas from their constituents and rammed their irresponsible "replacement"
bill through the House.
Lucas, this is no time to falter. We must continue to show up and remind
the Republican party that the Affordable Care Act is more popular than

Not only does the GOP's "replacement" plan deny 24 million
Americans of their health insurance, it also creates a system where being
a woman is considered a pre-existing condition. Even worse it allows rape,
sexual assault, postpartum depression, cesarean sections, and surviving
domestic violence to be considered pre-exiting conditions as well.
This bill is an assault on the livelihood of women and their families,
and we cannot let it get any further.
